A quiggle
Meeting: Wednesday 30 September 2009
Friends Lounge, National Library of Australia, Parkes Place, Canberra
6.30 pm, networking and nibbles from 6.00 pm
The Quiggle is back by popular demand.
What’s a Quiggle, you ask? Will it be a quiz, or will it be a discussion of editing niggles? No, a bit of both—it’s a ‘quiggle’! This members’ night will combine fun and games with some serious discussion of editing issues.
For example:
- Does you’re blood boil at the sight of a misplaced apostrophe?
- At the end of the day, does it matter if people use clichés?
- Do you apoplex at the sight of an invented verb?
- Are you sure where the commas go with ‘not only … but also’?
So, please email your pet editing niggles to , or just bring them along to the meeting and we will endeavour to supply the soap box.
