About the course

You are invited to our first Mentoring workshop for more than a year – it should be good fun as well as useful discussion. It will be held by Zoom on Thursday 18 March 2021 from 6pm to approximately 7:30pm Canberra time. There is no charge.

This workshop will focus on the mentor’s role in a mentorship so all mentors new to the program in the last 12 months are encouraged to attend, but it will be of interest to prospective mentors and mentees as well and to anyone keen to learn more about the program.

Please register your interest today, Monday 15 March, by emailing mentorship@iped-editors.org with a cc to emmurphy.words@gmail.com. One of the co-chairs will then contact you individually. There is a limit of 12 participants (a good number for discussion), so first come, first served! If there are too many for one workshop, we will run another one fairly soon afterwards – nobody will miss out. We have a confidentiality policy in the Mentoring Program, so your email address will be kept private. You may want to swap contact details later – that’s up to you.

The team running the workshop will be: Ted Briggs, facilitator, with help from Elizabeth Manning Murphy.

What happens next?

• You will receive an ‘outline’ document a few days before the workshop
• And you will receive a ‘case studies’ document plus a link to the Zoom meeting in time for the workshop.

Both documents come with instructions for their use in the workshop.
