Meet the author: Steve Lewis

Wednesday 31 July 2015
Ferguson Room, upstairs at the National Library of Australia, Parkes Place
5:45pm to 7.45pm, with the usual drinks and nibbles beforehand
(Meeting starts at 6pm sharp)

You might know him as a political journalist, but Steve Lewis is also the co-author (with Chris Uhlmann) of the Canberra-based thrillers, ‘The Marmalade Files’ and ‘The Mandarin Code’, and author of ‘Stand and Deliver: celebration 50 years of the National Press Club’.

Join us at our next meeting to hear Steve share his tale of how this novels came about and the processes involved. ‘The Marmalade Files’ and ‘The Mandarin Code’ book will be on sale on the night – why not buy a few signed copies for yourself and your friends?

As usual there will be time for drinks and networking, but for this meeting we are reversing the usual order of proceedings, and Steve will be speaking from about 6:00pm, as he must leave for another engagement.

Steve has also been busy with plans for a new writers’ festival for Canberra, beginning in 2016, and will be happy to update us on how these plans are progressing.

After our guest speaker has concluded, there will be the usual brief update on Society business and activities, and of course plenty of opportunity to network with colleagues.

Anyone interested in editing is most welcome to attend – there is no need to register.

If you have any questions about the general meeting, please contact us.
