Practical aspects of using EndNote

EndNote™ is reference-management software used extensively in academic and government publishing. If you ever wanted to find out more about the software and how you might use it, and how it might affect your work as an editor, then this is your chance.
Farid Rahimi will show how to use the PC version of EndNote™ X8 to
- generate an EndNote™ ‘library’
- insert citations into a Microsoft® Word document using an existing EndNote™ library
- generate a bibliography of cited references in a written manuscript
- apply a specific formatting style to a bibliography.
You can install the PC version of the 30-day trial version of EndNote™ X8 on your laptop and bring your laptop PC (or Mac) with you to the meeting. You can get the 30-day trial version at www.endnote.com.Your computer will need to have at least Windows 7 SP1.
EndNote™ works with Microsoft Word (2007 or higher), so you will need to have that on your computer as well if you want to work along with Farid as he demonstrates those EndNote™ functions.
The software is now available in version X8 for both Mac and PC platforms, but Farid will be discussing the PC version.
